The Commerce Emergency Corps provides medical first response, rescue, and recovery services for Commerce and the surrounding areas of Hunt County.

In a medical emergency, the volunteer first responders of the Emergency Corps are often the first medical assistance people receive. In a motor vehicle accident, the rescue team provides extrication services and trauma care for patients. And the Emergency Corps Dive Team provides water recovery for all of Hunt County. But there is more the Corps provides for the citizens of Commerce.

The Emergency Corps provides stand-by medical services for many of the community events in Commerce, including the annual Bois d'Arc Bash, Fourth of July Celebration, Commerce High School Football Games, and commencement services at Texas A&M University-Commerce. In addition, the Corps provides various public assists in the city, including lift assists, missing child searches, and traffic control.

Through these services, the volunteers of the Emergency Corps give back hundreds of hours in service each year to the community.
